Fun and Easy Halloween Ideas for Kids

With Halloween around the corner it’s always a good idea to have some fun ideas lined up for the kids. A little bit of effort can really make a difference in creating a memorable halloween for your family. Most people don’t have the time to do anything extravagant so all of these ideas require minimal effort with very few items to make your life easier.

1.Spooky Mummy Jars

These easy to make decorations look fantastic and take no time at all! All you need is a few old jars, googly eyes, masking tape or bandages and some little tea-lights. Glue the bandage around the jar or if using masking tape just wrap it around and stick on the jar. Then glue the eyes in place and stick a tea-light in the jar. It’s super easy and looks great next to the pumpkins outside.

2.Lollipop Ghosts

Another super quick and easy idea are these adorable lollipop ghosts! All you need are tissues, coloured ribbon or string, a black pen and lollipops. Take your lollipop (keep the wrapper on) and cover it with the napkin or tissue. Then take your coloured ribbon and tie it around the neck of the ghost or where the lolly meets the stick. Use a black pen for some eyes and there you have it! These are perfect to give out to the trick or treaters or to have at a halloween party.

3. Orange Pumpkins

Children eat so much rubbish over halloween and there are many fun ideas for spooky themed junk food so I thought I’d chuck in a healthy option just in case your kids feel like taking a break from all the sweets! A whole orange makes the perfect pumpkin shape and placing a tiny piece of cucumber at the top completes the look. It couldn’t be easier!

4.Coloured Ice Cubes

All it takes is a few drops of food colouring and you’ve got yourself some fun ice cubes that your kids will love! Pick your colours and put them in a big jug of water for the table. I like going for red to make it look blood-like!

5. Find The Googly -Eyed Monster

Find the Googly Monster. Easy and fun Halloween ideas for children

This game is a strong favourite among the children I look after and it is hilarious! All you need is a bag of googly eyes of different sizes. Get the kids to close their eyes while you go around the house placing googly eyes on random objects. They have to hunt out the googly eyed monsters and whoever finds the most wins.
